What order should I play the LEGO Batman games in?
Release order: LEGO Batman: The Videogame (2008), LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (2012), LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (2014), LEGO DC Super-Villains (2018), Legacy of the Dark Knight (2026).
The five games have standalone stories, so any order works. Release order: LEGO Batman: The Videogame (2008, Gotham-only, no voice acting), LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (2012, first open-world Gotham, full voice acting, Justice League cameo), LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (2014, intergalactic, Brainiac plot, Lantern Corps), LEGO DC Super-Villains (2018, play as villains with custom character creator), and Legacy of the Dark Knight (2026, full TT Games reboot on UE5). Start with LB2 if you want the first 'modern' experience.
